Custom Pokémon

This assignment, we were instructed to make our own Pokémon. We had to give it all five senses, as well as an extra sixth sense. For this, I decided to make a Mushroom Pokémon-- based off of inky cap mushrooms.

Blocking

I chose to model the middle evolution "Mushroop" as a good base ground for this project. Wasn't too simple, wasn't too complicated, and shows off what the Pokemon's premise is supposed to be.

I decided to model it in-pose because I looked at this project more as making a statue rather than a game-ready model-- but I still wanted it to be dynamic.

Texturing

For this assignment I wanted to texture things dynamically but not too detailed. I didn't want there to be an insane amount of detail because Pokemon tend to be simpler, but my style tends to be painterly and a bit more complex so I was able to find a happy medium between the two.
