A Rogue-like tower defense game that I created all of the assets for. The game was for my GDD 210 final, which is a game lab course.

All art assets were created by me. Here are a few example works below.

LAURA WHISKEYMAN’S "BYTENIGHT" POSTMORTEM 

For ByteNight, I wanted to develop an art style that is inspired by mid 2000’s flash games—ones you would find on Newgrounds or itch.io. I wanted to stray from my typical ”Semi-Realism” art style to give the game a specific feel. 
Vanessa is an original character for this universe, originally depicted holding a child. She went through many iterations before the final sprite, (including originally being male.)

Skeets, our main character, was the easiest to integrate into this style. Skeets was already a pre-developed character, designed by our programmer Nick. So, there weren’t many issues there.
